Rescuers 200m away from trapped Kerala trekker, para troopers could be deployed

Twenty-three-year-old R Babu, along with three of his friends, trekked the hill in Malampuzha in Kerala’s Palakkad district on Monday and was involved in the accident later that evening. He is trapped there since then and the rescuers are desperately trying to reach him.

Covid restrictions to be eased in Kerala; Schools to function normally 

Currently, the classes are being conducted with 50 per cent attendance. The evaluation meeting has also decided to consider increasing the number of pilgrims for the religious festivals including the Aluva Sivarathri, Attukal Pongala and Maraman convention.



The state government had on Friday to start offline classes for students of Classes 10, 11 and 12 and college students from February 7 and classes for children studying in Classes 1 to 9, creche and kindergarten from February 14.

In a U-turn, HNLC says ready for unconditional peace talks
