Man arrested with machete after reportedly breaking into neighbor’s home in Palmer Lake – KKTV 11 News

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after they received reports of a stabbing near Highway 105 and Meadow Lane in Palmer Lake. The reporting party allegedly told officers their “neighbor broke into their house and attacked them with a knife”. This reportedly happened just before 2 a.m. Friday.

A Palmer Lake Police Department officer and an El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to the area. As they arrived they found a man armed with a machete. The suspect was taken into custody after a struggle with law enforcement.

The homeowners got immediate medical attention; One was transported to the local hospital with multiple injuries but has since been released. THe other victim reportedly has serious injuries but is stable.

The suspect was identified as Adam Gerak (pictured above). He was booked into the El Paso County Jail and is facing the following charges: attempted murder, burglary, assault, and felony menacing along with other charges.
