3 Ukrainian hospitals hit as Russian forces intensify sieges
An airstrike on a maternity hospital in the port city of Mariupol wounded women waiting to give birth and buried children in the rubble as Russian forces intensified their siege of Ukrainian cities. Bombs also fell on two hospitals in another city west of the capital, news agency AP reported.
The World Health Organization said it has confirmed 18 attacks on medical facilities since the Russian invasion began two weeks ago.

Militant killed in encounter in J-K’s Pulwama, reports PTI
An unidentified militant was killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, police said as per news agency PTI.
Acting on specific inputs about the presence of militants in Naina Batpora area of the south Kashmir district, security forces launched a cordon and search operation there, a police official said.
The search operation turned into an encounter after the militants fired upon the forces, drawing retaliation.

Covid-19: India logs 4,184 new cases, 104 deaths in last 24 hours
India saw a single day rise of 4,184 coronavirus infections taking the total tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,29,80,067, while the active cases dipped to 44,488, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday.
The death toll climbed to 5,15,459 with 104 fresh fatalities, the data updated at 8 am stated.
